@Voterfraud,
Re: "Anonymous, I’m not operating Phun so why the fuck do I care if multiple voting brings in more traffic?"
Well, I suppose we could all ignore how a website runs. However, the reality is not enough revenue and profit = failed website that ceases to exist. I don't know exactly why Phun allows multiple voting, but I suspect it has to do with traffic and revenue generation, or it may be related to technical and cost reasons. It costs money, time, bandwidth, security resources, architectural resources, and storage to ensure that voters are only able to vote once, and I'd guess that it doesn't make sense to spend these resources on something as trivial as TOTW, especially when allowing voters to vote more than once increases traffic and revenue. As to why people vote more than once, I couldn't tell you their motivations. I just roll with the flow because it is what it is. |

Anonymous, I’m not operating Phun so why the fuck do I care if multiple voting brings in more traffic? Multiple voting is stupid and as a user it makes no sense for you to be a proponent unless you like to autistically and compulsively vote for the same pic 1000 times. |

@Voterfraud,
It seems that you don't understand the challenges of website operators. The purpose of multiple voting is to draw traffic to your website, traffic that you can monetize, so that you can keep your website running. Which ass people like best is irrelevant. |

Voting multiple times is retarded. The point is to see which ass people like best not which one is supported by autistic obsessive retards. |

@Anonymouse,
Thanks! :-)
This week, it seems likely that the winner will be thong 3. Who is she? Does anyone know?

@Joke Votes,
I've said this before, but it bears repeating. The likely reason for multiple voting is to encourage more traffic and repeat traffic. Were it not for multiple voting in TOTW, I imagine many users might come here only once a week. |

Wow. How about you modify the algorithm to disallow multiple votes on the same set of pics... Not that hard to identify people by their ISP, Facebook does it all day long. :p

This week, seemingly, we're adding current week votes to those from last week! Hmm. Interesting. That is indeed one way to get the vote count past five thousand! The key problem for me is the voting wait-time filter. If you only want one person to vote once per week, that's one thing. However, as it is now, one can vote repeatedly, but there is a wait-time in between votes. During that wait-time, if you come to vote, you cannot. So, quite often I come here to vote, only to find that I cannot. This causes me to vote less and less, because I don't have time in my day to come to Phun over, and over, and over again, only to be denied voting and told that I must wait and come back again. |
